Special Dietary Needs
I HAVE SPECIAL DIETARY HABITS (EG. VEGETARIAN, HALAL). CAN I STILL JOIN MY FRIENDS AT ONE TABLE?
If you have special dietary requirements, please kindly indicate clearly during registration. Chinese/Halal/Vegetarian/Indian menus may be provided upon request.
While we do strive to arrange for you to sit with your friends, we seek your kind understanding to allow for reshuffling of tables to accommodate special dietary needs. Please note that reshuffling may occur in the event where a table has a high number of different menus selected. Alternatively, your friends may choose to have the same menu as you, according to your dietary needs (eg. a full table of 10 having the vegetarian menu). In this case, reshuffling of tables is unlikely to occur.
The Hotel provides the Chinese menu by default, and charges are made per table of 10. For special dietary menus, charges are made per pax. Thus, for a table with a mixture of Chinese and special menus, the base cost of the Chinese menu will be charged regardless of the number of people selecting it, and extra charges will be made according to the number of people choosing the special menu (Scenario 1). In the event that this occurs, the School pays for the "unoccupied" pax while heavily subsidizing the "occupied" pax for the Chinese menu. We thus seek your kind understanding in the event that table reshuffling occurs for the School to minimise such costs.
Examples:
Scenario 1 - 5 Chinese + 5 Special Diet = Cost for 10 pax + 5 pax
Scenario 2 - 8 Special Diet = Cost for 8 pax
Scenario 3 - 10 Chinese + 1 Special Diet = Cost for 10 pax + 1 pax

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS TO THE NUMBER OF SPECIAL MENUS PER TABLE?
Each table can only have a maximum of 2 special diets if the majority are choosing Chinese menu (C). The special diets refer to Muslim menu (M), Chinese Vegetarian menu (CV) and Indian Vegetarian menu (IV). However, there are no restrictions to the number of special diet menus if the whole table consists of only special diets. Please consult us if you require special provision to form a table of 11 pax.
